Patterns

This tutorial teaches you how to add a pattern to your image in paint shop pro 7.

Start out with this image for example.

Let's say we want to add a plus pattern, using this image:

Just copy and paste it into paint shop pro, you don't even need to save it unless you want to keep it for later.

Then, we go to the Collor Pallete (you know, with the color options!) and do the following:

Click on the arrow of the left style option. Then choose the dots, that stands for patterns.

Now, you will see some kind of pattern in the color box. Click on it, and you will see TONS of patterns. Scroll to the top until you find the plusses. And click OK to select it.

Now, you can either flood fill it, or airbrush it, (the paint bottle looking icons), to apply the pattern.

Here's how it looks after you have done that:

You can apply other effects now. This was probably a bad example since the plus pattern is black, and doesn't look pretty with this dark background, but you get the idea :)

Basically, any image you currently have open in psp you can apply as a pattern somewhere. Also, you can use any of the other patterns you see in that list of choices.
