Mosaic
The mosaic effect is pretty fun to do. And it's also very easy. Basically, in Paint Shop Pro you make an image, just remember that it has to be pretty large, this works for layout backgrounds. For example, my image looks like this:
I then go to Effects --> Texture Effects --> Mosaic (there are two, glass and antique, the pretty much do the same thing, you can just pick one you like better).
Then, set up your options like I have below, and play around with it to see if you like something else better.
The finished product when you press ok looks like this:
And there you have it, now you can make mosaic-ed backgrounds on your layouts.
