Our neighbors were having a garage sale recently and I noticed they were selling this lovely bookshelf cabinet thing with sliding glass doors. It is a cherry wood color, like my dining room furniture, and I couldn’t just let someone else snatch it up. So we bought it and now I have a new lovely bookshelf downstairs. I wanted the sliding doors to keep my books safe from the chewing dog mouths in this house. This bookshelf has 4 wide shelves and is really quite pretty. We put it in the empty space next to the china cabinet. Since the bookshelf is kind of on display downstairs, I decided to populate it with my nicest looking books. I got a nice workout carrying all those heavy books downstairs but now I have tons of empty bookshelf space upstairs (*insert evil laugh* not for long) and the downstairs has a pretty. Take a look:
