I am Painter Smurf

Filed under: General, Entertainment @ 11:08 pm

Last week I went to a meetup at Pinot and Picasso. This is a painting studio in Houston where you can bring your own food and drinks, including wine, hence the name. I’m not artistic in the least, so I wasn’t sure how this was going to work, but the idea was fun so I went for it. The instructor has you paint step by step so it actually is pretty simple and a lot of fun. Our painting was a martini glass. Here is my awesome creation. I’m still deciding where to hang it. The background color I chose blends into my dining room too well so I was thinking maybe in the kitchen, but the only wall space I have is above the fridge. If it fits there we’ll hang it there. If not, we’ll hang it in my office.

  2. That’s nice! :)

Hanging your own art in your home is much more fun than just buying a painting.

  5. Wow, your painting looks great Julie! That Pinot & Picasso thing sounds like a lot of fun actually; I wish we had cool stuff like that here! Actually we very well could and I just don’t know about it, lol.

And I agree with Shellie, it would look fabulous hanging behind a wet bar or in a lounge area where you might entertain guests! :)
