So people are idiots and we know this, but come on.  I recently got a letter from my mortgage company that I have not paid September’s mortgage and my account now has a late fee. Great. Except, I did pay. And I logged into my WellsFargo online banking to view my statement, and the check had cleared on September 4th. So what’s the problem? Well, I called and talked to a representative and she tracked down my check number and it turns out it was applied to some other person’s loan account. WTF? I sent my check with my account number in the memo field along with the payment coupon that has all my information. And whoever processed it still managed to credit another person’s account? Dumbass. Anyway the lady on the phone corrected it and removed the late fees, but by the time this was all taken care of I was all freaking out. Not fun. I can’t afford late fees and missing mortgage payments and I certainly don’t want to lose my house due to some idiot’s mistake. When I talked to my Dad about it he recommended signing up for their automatic payments cause it’s safer than going through a dumb human. Methinks I will.

I still haven’t heard back from Social Security about my new card due to name change. I swear I’m so ready to kick someone. It doesn’t help that the government organization has hours from 9-4 which really means 930-1130 and 130-330 cause at other times they’re either late, at a long lunch, or getting ready to go home. And it’s not like I can just up and take time off work to go deal with this in person cause it takes hours to wait in line to talk to a window Dumbass.

And if that isn’t enough stress on my shoulders, we finally got up to putting the last coat of paint on the walls in the toilet room. If you remember, that was the white room that when you closed the doors felt like a jail cell, so since we painted the main bathroom from blue (bleh) to beige, we decided to cover the white walls in the toilet area with beige too. Well, we painted yesterday and it looked great. We let it dry all day, then when it was dry we pulled up the painters tape. And what happened? The paint peeled with the tape. WTF?!?! So maybe the white paint was extra glossy and the beige paint didn’t stick to it well, we didn’t have this problem on the blue. So now we have to go redo it and peel up the painters tape between coats while it’s still wet so it doesn’t do this again. It was done, it looked good, and now it requires redoing. I swear this house just doesn’t want us to be done painting. *cries*
