This weekend is super special because Monday is a holiday. Yay for Labor Day. Though an extra day is still not enough. Weekends are never enough to get anything done. We’ve been so busy around the house because there’s just so much to do.

Here’s the TODO list for this weekend.

• Gardening
• Wash vehicles
• Finish bathroom paint
• Finish unpacking guest room/man room
• Send photos to Hubby’s family - get addresses
• Airline tickets for Dad’s bday in October
• Hubby has to write his 10 page paper for law school due next week
• I need a haircut
• Call about the roof - it needs repair (find out who to call)
• Prepare moving company claim
• Bed frame

We recently got a letter from our HOA (home owner’s association) that our front yard flower bed needs work. So we pulled out all the yucky stuff that was growing there and we plan to put tree bark everywhere so weeds don’t grow and just isolate little areas for planted flowers. We haven’t purchased the flowers yet because first we need to get the dirt out and cover the flower bed with the tree bark.

I’ve mentioned before the ugly blue paint in our master bathroom. We painted it but now we still have some touch ups. The blue is so thick that it requires multiple coats. We notice now that there are a few places we missed so we need to do more touch ups. Also, the way our bathroom is set up, the main area was blue and the toilet that has it’s own little room has white walls. Well, the way it’s set up, when you close the door and sit on the toilet, all you see is white walls all around, and it feels like a jail cell. So I want to put just one coat of the beige we painted in the main bathroom so that it has some color and is less bleh. So I plan to do that this weekend.

The extra bedroom (not master bedroom and not the office) is being used a guest bedroom when we have guests, and otherwise as the “man room”. That’s my hubby’s room for all his military stuff and all his books. It will be used as his study where he can do all his law school stuff without me being a distraction in the main computer office. So we have to finish unpacking that, it still has boxes piled up.

We found a spot in the roof right over the door that looks weak and needs to be repaired. Since the house is under 10 years old that should be covered by a warranty, so we just have to figure out who to contact to get it fixed.

The moving company managed to break quite a few things and also, as I mentioned before, hubby’s playstation and games box is missing. So we have to file a claim. First we have to take photos of the broken things and get them printed at Walmart or something, and then send letter and the photos to the claims department.

I may have mentioned before that our bed is just two “full” beds side-by-side. Yes, we like tonsa space. Someone likes to sleep diagonally! And since he’s so tall, on just the one full bed I get pushed off. So we put the two beds we have together. Anyway we need a frame to hold it together so hubby is building one. Well, it’s only about half completed so that has to get finished sometime soon. That includes putting another layer of stain on the wooden bed legs and attaching them to the metal frame he built.

Yea, so we probably won’t get much of this done this weekend, but hopefully we can tackle a lot of it. It’s quite a list, but at least we have 3 days this time. *sigh* I need a vacation, or hired help. Heh.
