Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope you have a great time with your families and friends and enjoy yourselves. What am I doing? Well tonight we’re going to a party at one of my parents’ friends houses. Tomorrow night we’re having a party at our house for my parents’ friends. aka The Mafia if you haven’t caught on to how I refer to them. Saturday we’re spending the day with the grandmas. So that should be interesting. Gotta spend Thanksgiving weekend one day with your family right? hehe. Sunday, not sure yet. Probably recovering.

It’s now one month exactly till I go see my fiance!! I will see him Dec 23 when I land in Jacksonville Fl airport and he picks me up. We’re gonna have a nice little vacation yep. It’s great because of the holidays (Xmas and New Year’s) I only had to take 5 days off work and I get an 11 day vacation. On the 23rd we’re gonna celebrate xmas with his family in northern Fl. Then we’re gonna drive down to Cocoa Beach for a vacation. He got lucky and his cousin’s friend has a house in Cocoa Beach that she’s not staying at right now cause her husband is in Iraq and she’s staying with her family in Ga. So she’s letting us stay in her house so we don’t have to get a hotel! That will be awesome. There’s a lot to do in that part of Fl, like visit NASA and maybe Universal Studios and stuff. We’ll save Disney World for a longer future trip heh. Then we’ll also spend some time with his cousin in Ga. It should be a nice vacation. I can’t wait to see him. It’s just been so long. I certainly couldn’t have held out till March when he gets back. Good thing the ARMY shuts down for Xmas/New year’s and I can see him. Also, scary fact, it’s exactly 200 days till we get married. I put a countdown on the sidebar and that’s what it says today. Frightening lol. There’s so much left to do and I’m so overwhelmed with everything.

The other day I realized how much graphic design skills I’ve lost. I was trying to help my Mom make and ad because the lady who was doing her’s was just screwing up all the time. I mean she put random colors all over and the text was hardly readable and we had to tell her so many things to keep changing. I swear if I had the layers I’d be able to fix it easily. So I tried to make one myself and it was so hard for me. I had to cut my mom’s pic out from the background to add it to the background we wanted and that took forever. I haven’t done “psd’s” in forever. Then I had to try to add a glow and I realized my old eye candy for psp7 is gone. I can’t find it anywhere. It’s not on any of my backups and not installed on this computer. Maybe it got corrupted (it was a hacked free version after all) and so I removed it. I don’t remember. But it’s like I’ve forgotten so much about psp7 that I can’t do anything anymore. It feels like all I can still do well is blend nature pictures and add text heh. Pretty sad. But I guess what can you do. I focused on college and graduating and work, not on playing with graphics programs. In any case, I’m happy with my site as it is. So I’m not some amazing designer. My designs are still clean and good enough and not visually blinding, so that’s what matters. I have really gotten into original work. Like this current theme that I converted from my most recent skin. I took the pictures, I blended the pictures, no extra textures or anything was used. Only the font isn’t my creation, but that’s fine. Now I’m thinking maybe I’ll stick to that and only do layouts from my own pictures, if possible. I have plenty of waterfalls photographs I took, I can blend those into a new waterfalls theme. I also have some great pictures from Hawaii that I can try to blend. Yes, I’m into nature. Very into nature. I love nature. So why not right? So I think as time allows those two themes are on my todo list.
