He’s gone. He left this morning. 5 lonley months. He’s spending 2 months in Ft. Benning, Georgia, followed by 3 months in Ft. Lee, Virginia. Army training, Officer school. He’s officially a 2nd Leutennant but he has to go through officer basic training. So that’s where he is. He wants me to try to come out to visit him for xmas/new years exodus. We calculated that I would probably end up taking 6 days off work. I currently have earned a little over 3 vacation days. I haven’t been at my job for 3 months even yet so I can’t ask about this yet. I should be able to ask if I can take the time off in early November. That’s over a month and a half notice. Should be good. I miss him already.

This month was employee appreciation month. So to thank us employees they gave us one free day to take off in the month of September. I took mine on Monday the 18th cause that’s when my bf had a day off too. We went to the caves! It was sooo much fun. Click here for the pix!! We visited Black Chasm and California Cavern. It is so awesome what some calcium carbonate can make!

I’m thinkin of making a layout for VR from those pix I took. The plans I had talked about in the previous blog, failed miserably on me. So maybe this will work out if I have time and desire for it. How cool would it be to make a layout with photographs I took myself! Now that would be something to be proud of.

I’m a little sick. I spent all weekend being sick. Bleh. I’m getting better though. I blame the changing of the season and how its so cold in the mornin but so warm in the days. And everyone at work’s been sick. Bleh.
