I saw Shakira in concert at her Oral Fixation tour last night at the San Jose HP Pavillion and let me say SHE WAS AMAZING!! Well, when the show finally started that is. The “warm up” act was boring and stupid cause whatever his name is who she did the duet of “Hips Don’t Lie” with just did some rap music DJing and then some freestyle rapping. Sorry but if I wanted to see that I’d have gone to a different concert. It took too long. I suppose that’s typical though, but I wasn’t impressed. Finally though when Shakira came out it got really great! She was just hot but she didn’t over sex it, it was also very cute in a ‘two-year-old’ kind of way. She has the cutest little faces and manerisms. Anyway if you wanna check out some clips of her show here is a list of them from the myspace fan site. I really really recommend THIS one cause her dancing is hot sex. She sang a bunch of my fave songs and she changed her outfits to fun and flirty things and she just jumped around with so much energy. You can tell she just loves what she does. So much talent in that little body of her’s. I brought my binoculars, cause my seats weren’t that good. I only paid for $40 tix and including ticketmaster fees and crap it came out to ~$100 for both of us so that was about as much as I could afford at the time of purchase. But it was already selling out (and this was the second peformance, the first one for San Jose sold out way fast so thankfully she added another just for me ahem) so we ended up with the back-end of that price range section. The good thing was we didn’t have anyone sitting right next to us so we had more breathing room. Everywhere else was really full though. Anyway so with my binoculars I could get to see her real close up and dang that woman has the world’s best abs and hips heh. She is absolutely gorgeous. Very talented lady. I am soooo happy I got to go see her. I can’t wait till the DVD for this tour comes out so I can buy it and watch it and be like I saw that live baby! Wow, it was just.. yea, wow. I got home hella late though and getting up today for work was really sucky. So today I gotta get to bed a little earlier to catch up heh. I’m soooooo happy though

Also, on Saturday we went to the mall to look at rings. Originally we were gonna try to design a wedding band to match my engagement ring, but the guy at Baron’s who does the designing didn’t work that day. So we went to Kay’s and I found some cute white gold and yellow gold combination rings and they have a designer trunk show next month so I’ll go and see what they have and maybe write some styles down to order from later. My fiance looked at some bands for himself as well and picked out some styles he liked. Then we stopped by Helzberg, which is where my engagement ring came from, and let me tell you they are great. They just had exactly what we wanted. Better than we saw at other places and for better deals too. They really don’t markup their prices like other places do and they just have a great selection. So they have a band I can order that is the same style as my engagement ring, but white gold instead of platinum, so it will be cheaper. My ring goes baquette, round, diamond, roung, baquette, while the band goes round, baguette, baguette, baguette, round. So in the middle the baquette would line up with the diamond, while the round and baquette other stones would be cris crossed. So it’s the same style, but somewhat skewed. Like perfectly imperfect. I love it. Cause I do love symmetry and order, but I also like it when things are a little imperfect. So this is exactly what I want. Except it has no yellow gold. So I can just have a separate two-tone maybe cheaper ring to wear if I need to wear my golds, but use this set as my main one. I really do like how we tried other places and still ended up with the same store as our best option. I like having store loyalty when things go so well. So at least the ring window shopping is checked off the list. We’ll probably buy them much closer to the wedding, like after he gets back from his evil ARMY training (Oct-March). Yes that’s right, he’s leaving for 5 months and I’ll be very lonely But after that he’s mine and if the ARMY tries to take him away again they have to go through my wrath *grrrr* ::makes evil face:: LOL.
