Well, I’m back from my Los Cabos Mexico vacation. I had a great time, or at least as great a time as one can have while being sick and being on my period at the beach. I was sick pretty bad too, bad runny nose and even worse cough. All that’s left of it is a little dry nagging cough because there’s some tickle left in my throat that I can’t seem to get rid of. At least with the nasty cough it had a reason and once I coughed out all that shizzle it stopped for a while. This can’t even be stopped. I just cough like crazy and strain my throat until for some reason it just goes away on it’s own. Cough drops aren’t helping either. But other than that I’m almost all better lol.

The past week is a bit of a blur and I can’t remember what we did each day. We arrived late afternoon on Monday to our hotel (left early morning though, layover flights suck) in San Jose del Cabo. It’s an all inclusive so we don’t have to worry about food or drinks or anything. Needless to say I had a bunch of drinks like every day, usually a ChiChi or a White Russian. Mmmm. The food was alright but there were not a lot of choices, and I really expected better. It seemed to get worse as the week progressed and the holidays approached. Guess they were understaffed or something. Our hotel was directly on the beach but it wasn’t a swimmable beach because of the current, it was supposedly too dangerous, so we taxied around to nearby beaches and went somewhere different every day. A couple of times we went over to Cabo San Lucas, since it is a bigger city and actually has some life and activities. We took a sunset cruise to the arch and we have this amazing picture with the sunset through the arch. The arch is right next to the last piece of Baja California (where Los Cabos are located) and it’s in the shape of a dinasaour drinking out of the ocean. It has a beach called lover’s beach, which is really small and you have to take a boat to get to it, since it’s an island. On the other side is the pacific ocean with the huge waves and you can’t swim in it, so they nicknamed that side of the beach divorce beach lol. I’ll post pics as soon as I get them from Dad. I have a tan now too and that’s really awesome cause I was sooo pale from being inside and studying so much and not having a real beach vacation in like 2 years.

Speaking of school, I checked my grades. In BioChemicals I got a C, in Process Control I got a C+, in Process Design I got a B-, and in Military Ethics I got an A-. Not bad at all. Now I’m back in this evil place cause I have to work since I took two weeks off for finals and for my vacation. Classes start in a week so that’s kinda bumming but at least I have New Year’s to look forward to. My Stevie and I have to spend some quality time together, and as much of it as we have left, since early January he’s leaving for more Army training and won’t be back till late May. I hate being apart for so long, and just because this is his 3rd time leaving doesn’t make it any easier. A month I can hardly handle, but 4 or 5? It’s awful, really. Especially since I got so used to him spoiling me and being here all the time, coming over for dinner, picking me up from work, etc. No more of that now. At least he’ll come back in time for my graduation, and then I’m out of this nasty place and hopefully we won’t have any more apart time for a while.
